The teaching activities are mainly located in the D'Azeglio Complex (Via Massimo D'Azeglio, 85), where the Antiquistics Unit, the Italianistics Unit and the History Unit of the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Industries, to which the degree course refers, are based.

The main entrance is located at no. 85.

Once past the cloister and out into the courtyard, one enters the building on the left where, on the 1st floor, the services, lecturers' offices and library of the Antiquistics Unit and the History Unit are located, while the Italianistics Unit is housed in the left wing of the 2nd floor.

[Cloister]

The “Paolotti” Humanities Library is accessible from the cloister, while the Classical and Medieval Philology and History sections are located on the 1st floor.

Where are the classes held?

Classes are held mainly in the classrooms distributed throughout the various buildings in the Complex, which can also be accessed from the driveway on Via Kennedy or Piazzale Santa Croce, and in the classrooms of the new Teaching Pole on Via Kennedy, as well as at the Casa della Musica. For the exact location, please check the class schedule.

How to get there

The Via D'Azeglio complex is about a 20-minute walk from the railway station:

  • you can walk along the Lungoparma to the Ponte di Mezzo bridge and then turn right to the end of Via D'Azeglio;
  • the Verdi bridge leads to the Parco Ducale, from where you can reach the entrance of Via Kennedy or Piazzale Santa Croce.

Given its location along one of the main arteries of the historical centre and in close proximity to the Santa Croce barrier, the Via D'Azeglio complex is well connected by numerous bus lines (type 'Santa Croce' at the link).
