Learning objectives

Knowledge of pregnancy complications.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the physiology of the pregnancy.

Course unit content

Medical and midwifery management of the folowing disorders:
hyperemesis gravidarum, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, TORCH and pregnancy (Toxo, CMV, HIV, COVID), autoimmune disorders and pregnancy, cancer in pregnancy, renal disorders and pregnancy, hypertensive disorders of the pregnancy, OC, liver disease and pregnancy, alloimmunization, diabetes and pregnancy, macrosomia and fetal overgrowth, thyroid disease and pregnancy, preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, twin and higher order pregnancies, recurrent miscarriage.

Induction of labor, post-dated pregnancy, pathology of the amniotic fluid, perineal injuries, puerperal complications, musculoskeletal dosorders of the pregnancy and puerperium, cardiac disorders and pregnancy.
