Integrated course unit module: Pathophysiology of pregnancy and puerperium

Learning objectives

Knowledge of pregnancy complications.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of the physiology of the pregnancy.

Course unit content

Hyperemesis gravidarum, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, TORCH and pregnancy (Toxo, CMV, HIV, COVID), autoimmune disorders and pregnancy, cancer in pregnancy, renal disorders and pregnancy, hypertensive disorders of the pregnancy, OC, liver disease and pregnancy, alloimmunization, diabetes and pregnancy, macrosomia and fetal overgrowth, thyroid disease and pregnancy, preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, twin and higher order pregnancies, recurrent miscarriage.
