Integrated course unit module: Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology

Learning objectives

2- Being able to make a formal enquiry to the consultation-liaison psychiatric service when facing a subjects with a substance use disorder.
2- Being able to evaluate in an appropriate way the main symptoms involving tolerance, withdreawal, and compulsive behaviours.
3- Being able to give the main psychoeducation information to patients and family regarding major substance use disorders
4- Being able to adapt their own behaviour when facing a specific psychiatric disorder

Prerequisites

Basic knopwledge of descriptive psychopathology, genela psychology, and neuropsychobiology.

5- relapses in SUD
6- opiate dependence
7- cannabinoid dependence
8- alcohol dependence
9- new psychoactive substances

Teaching methods

Lectures in presence.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written multiple-choice test. 30 questions (1 correct answer = 1 point) in 40 minutes. It will be possible to discuss the examination in other format based on the class needs.

Power Point presentation (available on Elly) are considered part of the teaching materials. Students that won't be able to attend lectures are strongly advised to check the abovementioned notes.
