Learning objectives
a. Knowledge and understanding.
Students should know and understand the main techniques of data analysis, and understand how policies for food system sustainability can be derived from these data.
b. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding.
Students are required to integrate the analysis and understanding of statistical techniques to the analysis of approaches and research for the development of appropriate policies for food sustainability.
c. Autonomy of judgement.
Students will develop a critical sense in preparing a statistical analysis that can highlight the main dynamics of the phenomena under study. Furthermore, in the light of the data analysed, students will be able to discuss food and economic policy objectives.
d. Communication skills.
Students are required to actively participate in lectures, analysing data and policies and sharing the results with their colleagues through workshops and presentations.
e. Ability to learn.
The study method involves face-to-face lectures, group work, individual analysis and discussion of the issues addressed in class.
