Doctoral School in Humanities and Social Sciences

Seminars and Training Schools

The PhD is part of the PhD School of Humanities and Social Sciences, which encompasses all the PhD courses run by the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Industries, the Department of Economics and Business Sciences and the Department of Law, Political and International Studies. Teaching activities are conducted from an interdisciplinary and international perspective, integrating the theory and practice of the various disciplines of the three departments.

The Teaching Board has proposed a set of common training activities, which are in line with those offered by the other PhD courses of the school. These activities will either be offered as 'Intended Courses' (IP) (interdisciplinary, linguistic and soft skills acquisition training courses and other competences) or as other educational activities. The latter training area includes seminars on topics with a high interdisciplinary vocation and is therefore of interest not only departmentally but also inter-departmentally. Please refer to the general section on Teaching under the heading 'Other Teaching Activities' (AAD).

In addition, the PhD programme dedicates specific activities to disciplinary training, delivered in the form of Methodological and Disciplinary Training Seminars (SD), proposed by the Teaching Board, designed to broaden the PhD students' knowledge in their individual disciplines.
