ECTS credits acquisition
The course lasts three years. It requires the completion of an original research project, as well as the fulfillment of a complementary skills development program. Considering that in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), 60 ECTS credits are equivalent to a full year of study or work, doctoral students are required to obtain 180 ECTS over three years.
Following a decision by the Doctoral Council, it has been established that 1 ECTS credit can be earned by attending 7 hours of lectures. Full-time research activity for one month corresponds to 5 ECTS. Doctoral students are required to undertake an original research project, promoted by their supervisor and evidenced by publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
