Access qualifications
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (ART. 3 UNIVERSITY REGULATIONS)
1. The access modes to the degree program, whether open or restricted, are defined annually by the Department Council on the proposal of the Course Council and published in the University of Parma’s Study Manifesto.
2. Admission to the interdisciplinary Master's degree program in History, Criticism, and Languages of the Arts and Performance requires knowledge equivalent to having completed a three-year bachelor’s degree or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized as valid under current laws.
3. In order to enroll in the Master's degree program, students must possess specific curricular requirements and adequate personal preparation, which will be verified and evaluated based on the criteria outlined in Article 6, paragraph 2, of DM 1649 of 19-12-2023 and subsequent amendments.
4. The Course Council determines, in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 6 of this article, the prerequisites necessary for admission and the methods to acquire them if they were not part of the previous academic path.
5. To enroll, a three-year degree or an equivalent qualification is required. Specific details regarding eligible qualifications are outlined.
5a. Admitted to the Second-cycle Degree Course in History and Criticism of the Arts and the Performing Arts (LM 89) are graduates continuing in the three-year degree class L-1 (ex D.M. 270/04) or in the three-year degree class L-13 (ex D.M. 509/99) of the University of Parma,
5b. 6. Graduates not in continuity who wish to enroll must submit an evaluation request to the Student Office addressed to the reference professor for incoming orientation, attaching their degree certificate with a list of exams taken. The Educational Commission will assess the requests submitted and invite students for a possible interview to verify their preparation.
7. The delegate for incoming orientation of the course and the president will individually evaluate each request and curriculum, including with a possible interview: any curriculum gaps found must be addressed before enrollment in the Master's Degree program by acquiring the necessary CFU, according to the professor’s instructions for orientation, and by verifying the recovery of the missing minimum requirements.
