Learning objectives

The Master's degree program in History, Criticism, and Languages of the Arts and Performance provides knowledge, methodologies, and tools for historical research in visual and performative arts. It offers specialized knowledge in art history, music history, theater direction, and film criticism. Its objectives are:
•    To provide the necessary skills to analyze the different issues related to the study, conservation, protection, and promotion of cultural heritage. Graduates will be able to curate, organize, and independently coordinate exhibitions, artistic, theatrical, musical, cinematic events, and related editorial activities, identifying specific critical literature and necessary documentation.
•    Graduates will also be able to clearly communicate topics and issues related to art history, conservation and protection of cultural heritage, contemporary art languages, and the study and promotion of performance, music, and audiovisual communication.
•    They will communicate effectively and clearly to both specialists and non-specialists about the outcomes of their historical research, aesthetic judgments, and analysis, demonstrating mastery of specific terminology. As graduates of an interdisciplinary program, they will also be aware of the disciplinary horizon of their colleagues specializing in other art forms and will be able to interact with them in a fruitful and productive way.
