Learning objectives

The student should develop the following skills:
1. Knowledge and understanding (ability to understand): to know the theories concerning the behaviour of individuals and work groups in organisations
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding (applying knowledge and understanding): apply knowledge in professional and work contexts, and in particular in the multi-professional healthcare team
3. Autonomy of judgement (making judgements): to know how to analyse cases and problems related to the functioning of individuals and groups in organizations
4. Communication skills (communication skills): to communicate correctly and effectively with interlocutors in work contexts and to use appropriate relational modalities that allow to understand interpersonal situations and groups.
5. Ability to learn (learning skills): deepen new knowledge regarding the changes that characterize organizations today and willingness to continuous learning that characterizes the current working world.

Course unit content

The course aims to deepen the study of individual behavior and the functioning of working groups in organizations. The following topics will be examined: working group and team, working group structures and processes, conflict and conflict management, leadership and inter-professional collaboration
