Learning objectives

The student must acquire useful information to evaluate their professional activity from a regulatory and legal perspective.

Course unit content

The first lesson of the course concerns general topics, topics such as the sources of law, the distinction between public and private law, civil and criminal proceedings, the general part of criminal law with reference to institutions such as the objective element and subjective nature of the crime, the causal link, the causes of justification and the imputability. The second part of the course is aimed at dealing with crimes against life and individual safety as well as sports injuries.

Full programme

Sources of law, structure of the penal code, crimes and contraventions, subjective and objective element of the crime, causal link, causes of justification, civil and criminal proceedings: bodies and levels of judgement. Crimes of personal injury, battery, murder and abusive practice of the profession will be dealt with. We will also deal with the topic of accidents and occupational diseases in athletes.

The course will be carried out through lectures.

Assessment methods and criteria
