Characteristics of the final examination
The final examination, to which 6 ECTS credits are awarded, consists of the drafting and presentation of a written paper, prepared under the guidance of a supervisor. This paper reports on individual work carried out by the student within the university or at an external company or organisation.
The topic of the final dissertation is assigned at the student's request by a lecturer of the CCSU (Council of Unified Study Courses) of the First-cycle course in Informatics and the Second-cycle Informatics degree courses, who acts as supervisor, at least two months before the scheduled date of the graduation session.
On the recommendation of the rapporteur, another University teaching staff member or a contact person at the company or external body where the work is carried out is allowed to act as rapporteur.
The final paper may be written in Italian or English. In the latter case, the title page must include, in this order, the title in Italian and the title in English; an abstract of the paper in Italian must also be provided.
