Learning objectives
By the end of the course, students will have acquired the theoretical fundamentals of the discipline and the different levels of analysis (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics).
The students will also be able to describe in a knowledgeable and also metalinguistically adequate manner notions, categories, phenomena, and instruments of analysis proper to language.

No specific prerequisite required.
Course unit content
The course aims to provide students with the
fundamental theoretical tools of Linguistics and intends to analyse the structures and levels of language from a synchronic perspective. Particular attention will be paid to the production and reception of language sounds and to linguistic variety.
