Integrated course unit module: FRENCH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

Learning objectives

The Course aims at giving the students the main competences concerning the intertextual praxis and strategies, through the analysis of the three works examined.
At the end of the Course, the student will be able to:
- recognise the different strategies typical of intertextuality, in reference to the works examined;
- explain their meanings, in reference to the historical and cultural context in which they have been used;
- illustrate the different writers' poetics, in reference to the use of intertextual practices.

Course unit content

The Course aims at studying the main intertextual strategies, through the analysis of three works.
In this sense, will be examined and explained the main intertextual types and genres, in reference to the works that are part of the Program, in order to clarify their meanings, even in a historical perspective.

Teaching methods

The Course will be taught in French and lessons will be alternated with other didactic activities, in order to facilitate the confrontation and the discussion, as well as the developement of the students' critical sense .

Assessment methods and criteria

Students' competence will be verified through an Oral Examination in French.
Students that have not the three works examined could not be questioned in the Oral Examination.
