Learning objectives

The learning process will provide theoretical and practical basis of the
discipline. Student will know main aspects of physiology of children,
nursing and treatment of principal pediatric diseases

diseases - Exanthematous diseases - Nutrition - Pain: assessment and treatment -
Drugs: doses and route of administration - Pediatric
organization- Neonatal resuscitation -Newborn: physiology, development, nutrition, screening
tests, diseases -Dehydration: symptoms and treatment. Developmental psychology; the stages of child's development. Winnicot: the mother-child relationship; Bowlby and Ainsworth attachment theories. The Piaget's model. Body image development. Language development. Social relationships and sexual identity development

Teaching methods

The course will be held through lectures to Students in the classroom (“in presenza”) or in synchronous-streaming (“in telepresenza”) on the Teams platform if the pandemics continue. Lectures will be supported by slide presentations.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral examination and immediate communication of score Score 0-30.In
