Why in Parma?

The course is delivered by the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences, awarded by the MUR (Ministry of University and Research) as 'Department of Excellence 2023-2027' with extra funding for research and teaching.

A vibrant environment, rich in laboratories, equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation. A gateway to the world with some teaching in English, the possibility of a double degree with the University of Twente (Netherlands), Erasmus study programmes and Overworld scholarships to do your experimental thesis abroad.

The degree programme gives you the opportunity to meet and interact with leading companies and prestigious universities through participation in exchange programmes, including international research projects. We guarantee you a network of contacts for projects and collaborations with numerous national and international research and development centres in the most innovative industrial sectors (food, chemical, pharmaceutical industries, CNR institutes), stimulating entities that ignite ideas!

The occupational prospects are in the fields of research and development, quality control, production control, and analysis in a variety of chemical industries and sectors.

The skills you will acquire will lead to employment in a wide range of chemical companies, including marketing and sales positions.

Five years after graduation, the employment rate of Parma's graduates in Industrial Chemistry is 100% (source: AlmaLaurea 2022).
