Quality assurance

The PhD program, as defined by DM 226/2024, provides the necessary skills to conduct high-level research at universities, public institutions, and private entities. It also serves as a pathway for careers in public administration and the integration of highly innovative professional trajectories.

Quality Assurance (QA) in PhD programs is structured around three key areas:

  1. Design of the PhD program;
  2. Planning and organization of training and research activities to support doctoral candidates' development;
  3. Monitoring and improvement of activities;

The main entities involved in QA for the PhD program are:

  • PhD Board
  • Review Group
  • Advisory Committee

The key reference documents for QA include:

  • Periodic accreditation document of the PhD program;
  • Minutes of stakeholder consultations;
  • Minutes of the PhD Board meetings;
  • PhD program regulations;
  • Review documents;
  • PhD program website;
  • Surveys on doctoral candidates’ and PhD graduates’ opinions (ANVUR; Almalaurea; internal surveys).
