Doctoral School in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine

International collaborations

The Doctorate in Veterinary Medical Sciences is involved in a plan for the internationalization of Doctorates. Specifically, the Doctorate in Veterinary Medical Sciences (DRSMV) has made use of some strategies aimed at implementing the efforts made at central level through different methods:

  1. Thanks to the increase in Doctorate scholarships implemented by the University for Doctorate students who go abroad, as well as the increase in the attribution of CFU if carried out abroad, the DRSMV has strongly encouraged the Doctorate students to stay abroad for at least 3 months, for those sectors with which the reference professors already had open research interactions, which were therefore consolidated, but also for those sectors in which there were no interactions, leading to the opening of new scientific collaborations. This type of initiative has allowed the Doctorate students to acquire skills, to make themselves known and to receive Post-Doctorate contract opportunities.
  2. Seminar activities by Foreign Researchers from scientifically qualified structures invited by individual professors affiliated with the DRSMV or by Doctorates affiliated with other Doctoral Schools of the University.
  3. Monographic courses held by Foreign Visiting Professors from scientifically qualified structures invited by individual professors affiliated with the DRSMV.
  4. Participation in the EU-Green network, of which the DRSMV Coordinator is the University representative for the Ph.D-council. The EU-Green network will be able to implement the exchange of Doctorate students and researchers between the European member universities affiliated with it.
