Description and educational objectives

The Ph.D. in Neuroscience aims to train researchers with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of various aspects of neuroscience and behavioral sciences, providing a high level of specialization in research within these fields. Multidisciplinary training is also emphasized to ensure a unified perspective on the challenges that neuroscience Ph.D. graduates will face in practice.

The specialized training involves integrating the student into a research group, where they begin learning the essential technical procedures required to develop research practices in their chosen field. Multidisciplinary training is provided both on an individual basis and through various forms of integrated teaching, allowing students to acquire knowledge of the issues and research techniques specific to the branches represented in the Ph.D. program, including molecular neurobiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and behavioral biology.
