Characteristics of the final examination
| The final examination concludes the three-year cycle and constitutes a moment of verification of the skills acquired relating to the autonomous ability to organise and argue knowledge, the degree of familiarity with research tools and specialised vocabulary. The dissertation, discussed in front of a degree committee, consists of an essay on a circumscribed topic, clearly argued and accompanied by a properly structured bibliography. The paper must be drafted in compliance with the current rules on the offence of plagiarism. The length of the paper is approximately between 30 and 50 pages. In accordance with the Course Teaching Regulations (Art. 5(3)), it is possible to recognise part of the 6 ECTS credits of the final examination as ECTS credits accrued abroad during research and/or study stays as part of international exchange programmes. Prior to departure, the student must agree with the dissertation supervisor on the part of the activity (bibliographical documentation, writing, etc.) that will be carried out abroad with the corresponding indication of the ECTS credits to be accrued. |
