The course in brief
The degree course in Economics and Management aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding of business management, according to different profiles and fields of application. In fact, it is proposed as a restructuring of the previously activated degree courses, namely the degree courses in Business Administration, Economics and Finance, Economics and Management and Economics and Marketing. The renovation was conducted in compliance with the new constraints imposed by Ministerial Decree 270/04. Thus, the degree course in Economics and Management inherits, first and foremost, the common vocation of the previous degree courses. The opportunities for in-depth study in some fields of economics offered by the previous courses are, however, renewed through the activation of curricula. The student must choose the curriculum he/she wishes to follow when enrolling in the second year. More specifically:
- the curriculum in Business Administration (CLEA) intends to train professional profiles with specific skills in business administration, with particular regard to management, organisational and information systems aspects;
- the curriculum in Economics and Finance (CLEA) intends to provide skills in the management of businesses operating in the field of financial intermediation and financial markets, as well as skills relating to the financial profiles of the management of businesses operating in other economic sectors
- the curriculum in Economics of Internationalisation (CLEI) intends to provide skills and conceptual categories that enable one to operate within multinational companies, companies involved in import-export activities or international organisations;
- the curriculum in Economics and Marketing (CLAM) intends to provide knowledge that enables one to understand, analyse and manage the market policies of public and private, industrial, commercial and service companies and organisations operating in free market conditions.
- the curriculum in Economics and New Digital Technologies (CLED) offers knowledge and skills that can be used for the use of new digital technologies in the fields of specialisation proposed by CLEM and can therefore be applied in a transversal manner
The professional profiles that the graduate in Economics and Management acquires therefore already directly concern
