Course organisation

The management of the degree course is entrusted to the Unified Council of Degree Courses in Chemistry (CU-Chim), which is supported by specific committees of professor/instructors, the Contact Person for people from Disadvantaged Group and the Steering Committee.

Course President and Course Council

Unified Council for Degree Courses in Chemistry (CU-Chim) The CU-Chim is the body responsible for planning the range of course catalogue and managing all the courses in the Chemistry area of the Department. This unified management allows an overview of the chemistry education from the first-cycle degree in Chemistry to the second-cycle degrees in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry.
The Council consists of all professor/instructors who have teaching responsibility for one of the subjects of the three degree courses and 8 student representatives.

The tasks of the Course Council are governed by the University Regulations.

Course didactic commission

The CU-Chim is supported by a Teaching Commission, composed of one representative from each of the five chemical academic disciplines most involved in the course catalogue (Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Organic Chemistry).
It deals with all issues relating to applications for access to degree courses, transfer and recognition of ECTS credits accrued at other institutions, as well as practices relating to access to internships, dissertations and final examinations.

Advising Committee and delegate for career guidance

The Orientation Commission of the CU-Chim carries out orientation activities especially for secondary school students by organising seminars on topical issues, guided tours of university facilities, laboratory traineehips also in connection with school-to-work alternation activities.
It also organises the activities of the tutors and laboratory tutors. It works in coordination with the Department's Project Degree Commission (PLS).

The Delegate organises and promotes initiatives aimed at facilitating the entry of graduating and graduate students into the world of work.

The delegated professors/instructors manage student mobility (incoming and outgoing) in relation to all international exchange programmes (Erasmus Plus, Overworld etc.).
 

 

Contact person for students with disabilities, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) or vulnerable groups

The course contact person for vulnerable groups works in close cooperation with the CAI (Welcome and Inclusion Centre) in the areas of reception, care, social integration and rights of people with disabilities, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  

 

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee, consisting of a representation of professors/instructors from the chemical course units and representatives from the world of work, ensures constant liaison with the world of business and the world of work, in order to assess the progress of the Degree Courses, to draw up proposals for the definition and design of the course catalogue and learning objectives, and to promote contacts for possible internships of students in companies and institutions.

Joint Committee of Teachers and Students - CPDS

Each department establishes a Joint Committee of Teachers and Students (CPDS) consisting of one lecturer and one student from each course of study pertaining to the department.

The CPDS is a permanent observatory on teaching activities.
