Presentazione del corso
The ubiquity of Electronic and Information Technology in today’s and tomorrow’s vehicles is a mandatory requirement for pursuing a safer, greener, and enjoyable drive for modern vehicles as well as exploiting the benefits and options offered by the different levels of autonomous driving.
The achievement of these goals requires new professionals devoted to the development, design, and integration of advanced Electronic and Information Technology subsystems into new generation vehicles.
The aim of the Inter-University Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering for Intelligent Vehicles (EEIV) of the Motor Vehicle University of Emilia Romagna (MUNER) is to train engineers capable of operating in this challenging, innovative, and exciting field, with a specific focus on the understanding of the main electronic and communication systems as well as intelligent transportation applications.
EEIV Master’s Degree also offers two different curricula: Electronic and Communication System and Autonomous Driving Engineering.
Electronic and Communication System (ECS) is mainly focused on the operating principles and design constrains of the fundamental electronic and communication devices and subsystems as well as how they can be controlled and securely connected with each other and the surrounding environment in automotive and motorbike applications.
Autonomous Driving Engineering (ADE) is conversely focused on architectures, design requirements, devices, intelligent algorithms and methods used for the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and therefore also for fully autonomous driving.
Both ECS and ADE educational paths have been designed in strong cooperation with MUNER Companies operating in the automotive sector to allow a seamless insertion of Graduate Students in high-profile roles in the research, development, and manufacturing environments focused on vehicles and their technologies. Furthermore, Students will be also given the unique opportunity to pursue an internship in MUNER private companies and lab-based thesis preparation activities carried out following a “project work” approach.
The syllabus has been designed in strong cooperation with MUNER Companies operating in the automotive sector to allow seamless insertion of the EEIV graduate in high-profile roles in the research, development, and manufacturing environments focused on vehicles and automotive technologies.
