Course unit content
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of hematology, which focuses on the study of blood, blood-forming tissues, and blood diseases. We will explore the physiological processes of blood cell production (hematopoiesis), the function of different types of blood cells, and the diagnosis and management of common blood diseases. The course will integrate laboratory techniques used in hematology with clinical applications.
