Integrated course unit module: HEALTH MANAGEMENT

Learning objectives


The course is aimed at Learning the most important aspects of orivate law of relevance to health care staff. In particular I) Knowlwdge of basic private law institutions relevant to healthcare staff. II) Ability to apply knowlwdge and comprehension. At the end of the course the student will be able to analyse facts and apply the appropriate law to the case presented to them. III) Autonomy of judgment. The student through the his or her acquired knowledge will be able to evaluate and analyse legal decision in subject. IV) Communicative Skills. The student will be able to express himself or herself and speak confidently on this subject.

Prerequisites

The examination of "Health Management" can only be taken after passing exams "Health economics and business" and "Legal Aspects of the leading role."

Course unit content

The first part of the module concerns the individual right of naturals persons and entities. The second part covers the genral discipline of the mandatory relationship with regards to obligations arising out of unlawful acts in particular the responsability of healthcare personnel. Bibliography

The general part of the course can be studied from an up-to-date manual on private law institutions, chosen by the students.

Teaching methods

The course will consist of 16 hours of lectures, with some additional anaytical classroom workshops on case law to facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject .
The course will be through (synchronous) lectures on live streaming through the Teams platform, according to the University's indications for the health emergency, for a total of 16 hours. The Student/Teacher interaction will be preserved by reserving moments, during the lectures, for the dialog with the class on topics dealt with. The lectures and the analysis of cases will be through the Teams platform and will be recorded and made available to students on the Elly platform

Assessment methods and criteria

The achivement of all the educational objectives ( I,II,III, IV) will bee assessed through a test with multiple choice questions which will evaluate the student’s understanding and knowledge of the course components.
The modalities in which the exams are carried out may be subject to possible changes, according to the measures and provisions that may be adopted, also in light of the evolution of the health emergency for the Covid-19.
