Integrated course unit module: Gerodontology and Special Needs Patients

Learning objectives

Bring the student to know the clinical bases to know how to manage the patient suffering from systemic pathologies and modify their clinical action accordingly.

Prerequisites

knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the stomatognathic system, mouth and jaw bones

Course unit content

diseases of the oral cavity and jaw bones in aging and in patients suffering from systemic diseases

Full programme

Changes in the oral cavity, with particular reference to periodontal tissues during aging, pregnancy, hematological pathologies, infectious diseases, immune pathologies, oncological diseases
