After graduation
The main purpose of the course is to train students to become dentists, with general knowledge spanning across the various branches of dentistry. Once you have graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (OPD) you will have the necessary basis to pursue specialised studies in areas of interest to you.
The University of Parma offers a wide range of masters courses, to supplement the degree with the specialist skills needed in the highly competitive professional world.
Following graduation the most obvious path is the one that leads towards the profession of freelance dentist (after registration with the Register) in private clinics, a path chosen by 95% of graduates. However, there are also opportunities such as the first and second level management positions in facilities of the National Health System and in the field of research.
The opportunities that will arise will be numerous and exciting.
