The second-cycle degree in Pharmacy is the right choice if you wish to work as a pharmacist. The pharmacist has evolved from preparer and dispenser of medicines to drug and medical device expert, acting as a health educator for the proper use of medicines and as a support for physicians in the context of the implementation of National Health Service policies.
The Pharmacy degree at our University has more than 200 years of history, which have contributed to the quality of research and teaching in this field. The course offers students educational experiences abroad, and numerous students come to Parma from all corners of Italy every year.
The strengths of the course are the high level of satisfaction among graduates, with more than 95 percent saying they are satisfied with their education, and the remarkable employment rate, which one year after graduation is 89.7 percent (data from Indagine AlmaLaurea 2021).

After graduation
With a degree in Pharmacy you will be able to pursue different directions. You will immediately be able to work as a pharmacist in public or private pharmacies and in hospital facilities, as a medical-scientific informant in the field of drugs, medical-surgical devices and health products in general and in the pharmaceutical, parapharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industrial sectors.
In addition, the degree will provide the skills necessary for access to many third-level training courses at our University, such as the School of Specialization in Hospital Pharmacy, the master's degree in Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Strategies in Medicinal Product Development, the master's degree in Perfumes and Cosmetics, and the PhD in Drug Sciences.
