Why in Parma?
The course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (CTF) has an extremely positive post-graduation evaluation: according to the AlmaLaurea survey (2021), the overall satisfaction rating of graduates and master's degree holders reaches 100 percent. The degree equips you with the scientific basis and theoretical/practical preparation necessary to operate as an expert in pharmaceuticals and health products.
Once you graduate you will have the opportunity to work in the pharmaceutical industrial sector in drug design, development, testing, production and control, using the knowledge acquired in the chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, pharmacological and technological fields.
After graduation almost 30 percent of graduates contunue their education in a Ph.D., Graduate School or Master's program. From an occupational point of view, those who graduate from Parma with a degree in CTF easily find employment: data from the AlmaLaurea survey (2021) indicate an employment rate of 88 percent and 100 percent, respectively 1 and 3 years after graduating.

After graduation
You will carry out professional activities in different areas, such as the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the sectors dedicated to research, development, production, quality control and registration of medicinal products; in the cosmetic, food, industrial sectors concerning medical/diagnostic devices, medical/surgical devices, biocides or plant protection; in research activities at universities and public or private institutions; as a Pharmacist, thanks to the qualifycation obtained with the course.
If you intend to pursue postgraduate education, the Department of Food and Drug Sciences offers you the Ph.D. in "Pharmaceutical Sciences" or the Graduate School in "Hospital Pharmacy."
