Why in Parma?
The three-year degree course in Chemistry is run by the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences, awarded by MUR (Ministry of University and Research) as 'Department of Excellence 2023-2027' with extra funding for research and teaching.
The presence in the area of leading industries in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and packaging sectors means that the course is of particular relevance and well integrated into the local production landscape.
Supported by research groups of international excellence, it will offer you quality teaching, focusing on your needs and covering a wide range of fields such as theoretical chemistry, biomolecular chemistry, crystallochemistry, industrial chemistry, green chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, analytical methodologies, food safety and quality, innovative materials.
You will also have the opportunity to further your education by studying abroad thanks to Erasmus projects and taking advantage of the extensive network of contacts and collaborations with numerous national and international companies and research institutes.

Attendance
Not mandatory (except for laboratory activities).
After graduation
There are several post-graduate training courses that will equip you with highly spendable skills in the job market, i.e. the master's degree in Chemistry, the master's degree in Industrial Chemistry, or the first-level master's degree in Packaging.
You will also come into contact with production realities, both national and international, through company/foreign placements that will enable you to assess your personal aptitudes.
