Intensive care unit (icu) nursing
Bachelor’s degree in Pediatric Nursing or Nursing obtained pursuant to D.M. 509/1999 or D.M. 270/2004,
Diplomas obtained on the basis of the previous legislation of the members of the health professions referred to in DM 509/99 and referred to in February 26, 1999 n. 42 and 10 August 2000 n. 251, considered valid, pursuant to art. 10 of the Law of January 8, 2002 n 1, for access to Master’s and other Courses activated by the University, provided they hold the Diploma of Five-Year Maturity obtained in Italy or, by title obtained abroad, after at least 12 years of schooling.
The training course is structured to provide the student with the basis on which to elaborate the nursing care process in intensive care: the nursing assessment inherent in the clinical and psycho-socio-valorial dimensions of the patient and the family; the definition of nursing diagnoses, the definition of objectives and related actions to be implemented on the basis also of the values of monitoring of basic and advanced vital parameters.
The student will also be given the basis on which to elaborate the process of nursing in intensive care of the newborn and pediatric patient.
Chronological order.
The Master aims to train the nurse able to: assess the needs of assistance in the critical area, manage the care process in the high intensity of care and complexity, as well as, the related care paths; carry out training activities, applied research and consultancy to guarantee the quality of care and the evaluation of outcomes in the specific field, helping to train the figure of the specialist in Nursing in Anesthesia and Intensive Care.
