Course presentation - video

Why in Parma?

A course of study that updates and modernises the contents of the previous course 'Information Systems Engineering', that was created in close cooperation with local businesses.

The three-year course forms IT engineers with strong core engineering skills.

Compared to the previous degree course, there are now more courses on innovative subjects, such as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, with a vertical in-depth study of IT and software development topics. The course meets the expectations of local companies, which require more graduates with skills typical of software engineers than are actually available.

The course is an opportunity to leverage on the quality of teaching at the University of Parma, which ranks first in terms of employment rate and satisfaction one year after graduation, according to the most recent survey by the AlmaLaurea consortium on 35 three-year degree courses in Information Engineering with at least 30 graduates.

After graduation

In the information age the acquisition, storage, processing and interpretation of the immense masses of data generated on a daily basis are fundamental to make life easier for all.

These activities require increasingly advanced IT tools and services. A strong methodological and engineering basis and in-depth studies in the field of computer engineering will enable students to find suitable roles in the business world, i.e. within the many small and medium-sized local companies, in the public administration or as a freelancer.

Students can also broaden their education by enrolling in a Master's degree programme in computer engineering.
