Learning objectives

The course aims to provide students the knowledge and understanding of the essential elements of Dentistry Conservative / Restorative also in the light of the epidemiological pathology of caries, traumatic injuries, anomalies of tooth structure and to the health needs of the population. The purpose of the course is also to provide the student with the ability to use the knowledge and understanding gained in the person identifying the risk of disease in order to implement the appropriate preventive or treatment as suggested by the most recent guidelines national and international.

Course unit content

The course is concerned with the management of caries and other dental hard tissue disorders with an emphasis on restorative care planning and maintenance, accompanied by continuing preventive care. It involves applying the principles of preservation of dental hard tissues and is aligned with other aspects of restorative dentistry, endodontics and prosthodontics.
