Learning objectives

a) Knowledge and understanding: understand how to set up the preparation of the thesis, define the objective, organize the analysis of the bibliography, understand how to organize the writing and presentation of the thesis.
b) Applied knowledge and understanding: ability to use the main scientific research databases, ability to exploit IT tools for drafting and presenting the thesis; understanding of the main steps to organize the thesis work.
c) Making judgments: knowing how to evaluate the most appropriate sources for the objective of the thesis;
d) Communication skills: knowing how to communicate bibliographic research in written and/or oral form

Prerequisites

Course unit content

The course offers students the tools to set up the research, writing and presentation of the master's thesis.
The course offers the basis for defining the objective of the thesis (compiling or research), organising the bibliographic search, analyzing the main features of scientific papers, defining the structure of the thesis and setting up the presentation of the thesis for the final discussion.
