Learning objectives
the student will know some basic notions of LIS linguistics, history and culture of the Deaf. Furthermore, they will be able to communicate in LIS at a CEFR level A1.1
During the course, according to the Dublin descriptors, you learn to
– theoretically know the cherological plan of the tongue;
– independently analyze cheremas and cherological variations;
– explain specialist terminology with clarity of expression;
– be able to contrastively apply theoretical and practical knowledge in the study of sign language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Theoretical discussion on the topics developed in the classroom and personal presentation in sign language.
The overall rating is described as follows:
– insufficiency is determined by the lack of knowledge of the minimum contents of the teaching, as well as by the lack of adequate specialist vocabulary, lack of conversational skills in sign language, and by the lack of independent judgement, analysis, argumentation and communication of contents;
– grades 18–23/30 describe an acceptable level of student performance of the assessment indicators;
– scores 24–25/30 describe a more than sufficient performance;
– scores 26–27/30 describe a good performance;
– grades 28–30/30 describe an excellent performance and 30/30 with honors an excellent one.
