CORDA Project (Cooperation for Orientation and Reduction of Access Difficulties)
Coordinator
Prof. [Name Surname] - [name.surname]@unipr.it
The CORDA project is a pre-university initiative held in cooperation by high schools and universities, focused on orientation and aimed at reducing the scholastic deficiencies of high school students.
It entails preparatory courses in mathematics, computer science and English taught by teachers from the high schools participating in the project and is supervised by the University with regards to the programme, the minimum number of hours (set at 40), the maximum number of students per class (usually 25), the teachers' training and the final examination.
The project activity runs in the final year of higher education, outside of regular class time and is due to end in February. Attending students take a final exam held at the university (except for more distant locations). Depending on the degree course, passing this test may result in benefits and rewards for the student.
The ten students with the highest marks will have their first instalment of university fees waived if they enrol in the University of Parma.
