Career prospects
The degree programme prepares and qualifies students for the profession of hearing aid technician. The qualification allows access to second-cycle degree courses in the LM/SNT3 class of diagnostic technical health professions, first-level Professional Master Programmes and advanced training courses.
A graduate from the degree course in Audioprothesic tehniques is a health professional who works as a technician in the assessment and rehabilitation of diseases of the auditory system, particularly in the rehabilitation of hearing impairments.
The hearing aid specialist performs his or her profession mainly in private hearing aid companies, but may also work in the hearing aid diagnostic departments and services operating in hospital and non-hospital facilities of the National and Regional Health Service, in university and non-university research centres in the biomedical sector, or finally, as a freelance capacity.
