CRITERIA FOR THE RECOGNITION OF CREDITS ACQUIRED AT EU AND NON EU UNIVERSITIES FOR THE PURPOSES OF ENROLMENT IN YEARS SUBSEQUENT TO THE FIRST - A.Y. 2021/2022
Enrolment in the years following year 1 for students coming from EU or non-EU universities is subject to the availability of places, within the framework of the number of places previously approved by the competent bodies. For this purpose, no preliminary admission test is required.
This provision applies to all single-cycle bachelor's and second-cycle degree courses with nationally-scheduled access onto which applicants have applied to enrol for subsequent years.
Degree Course in Architecture Regeneration and Sustainability, places available for the A.Y. 2021/22 are:
2nd year: 32 places
3rd year: 65 places
Should the applications for enrolment in the same year exceed the number of places available, a ranking list will be drawn up on the basis of the following criterion:
- the arithmetic mean of the marks obtained in the course-unit examinations multiplied by the number of the relative ECTS credits acquired divided by the total ECTS credits envisaged by the Degree Course in Architecture, Regeneration and Sustainability at the University of Parma, according to the following algorithm: ‘arithmetic mean × (ECTS credits acquired/total ECTS credits)’, from the 1st year to the year of last enrolment, based on the degree programme.
- If students are still tying, the younger will be selected.
Recognition of the studies undertaken at courses of study in Architecture at other European Union and non-EU universities, as well as of the credits obtained in these, shall be carried out through the assessment, by the Course Council, of the curriculum forwarded by the university of origin and of the syllabi of the examinations taken.
This documentation must be translated into Italian by the student.
After deciding on the recognition of a defined number of ECTS credits, the Course Council decides on the student's enrolment in one of the course years, adopting the following criterion: to be admitted to a given course year, the student must have passed all the examinations envisaged in the previous years, with a maximum training debt of 30 (thirty ECTS credits). Validated examinations will be awarded the same grade or, in the case of several validated examinations contributing to the validation of a single examination, the average of their respective grades.
