Course presentation
The study course is embedded in the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences (SCVSA), selected by the MUR as 'Department of Excellence'. In the five-year period from 2018 to 2022, the Department received extraordinary funding that enabled it to take on new challenges and innovations in the field of Biology, with far-reaching and important repercussions on the teaching of the CoS.
Admission requires an upper secondary school diploma obtained in Italy or another recognised foreign qualification.
Through the degree course you will acquire basic knowledge of the main fields of biology and multidisciplinary methodologies and technologies for biological investigation, as well as operational and applied skills and competences in the field of biology. The course is characterised by a favourable ratio of students to lecturers, which is essential to ensure a high quality of teaching (as evidenced by the high degree of satisfaction among enrolled students) and to facilitate day-to-day relations with lecturers.
At the end of your three-year degree course, you will thus have the cultural tools to successfully continue your studies with a Master's degree and/or to enter the world of work with greater preparation (thanks to the pre-graduate practical training that you can carry out in university laboratories, or at companies or organizations in Italy and abroad)
