Why in Parma?

This course will allow you to study and work on the Science and Technology Campus, in close contact and in the same laboratories with lecturers engaged in research activities.

At the end of your studies and prior to your final examination, you may decide to do an internship at an Italian or foreign company or at a research facility abroad.

After graduation, the vibrant local production network will gauarantee an immediate entry into the world of work: indeed, the demand for graduates in the electronic engineering field far exceeds the supply.

Recent AlmaLaurea surveys conducted on the employment status of graduates show that the adequacy of the professional training acquired at the University of Parma and the effectiveness of the degree in relation to work are higher than the national average: 84% and 71% vs. 69% and 66%.

The recognised effectiveness of the training is linked to the balance between theoretical and professional activities, and the inclusion of various design and experimental activities performed in the laboratory.

Attendance

After graduation

This degree enables students to easily enter the local, national and international job market.

Thanks to the widespread use of modern electronic systems, you will be able to find employment in numerous fields, such as the production of goods and services and in scientific and technological research, including: companies that design, produce and sell electronic and optoelectronic components, apparatus and systems; manufacturing industries that use electronic systems and instruments for acquiring, measuring, processing data and automating the various phases of the production process; industries operating in the renewable energy sector; public administration sectors and service companies that employ electronic technologies and infrastructures for the processing and transmission of information.

You will also have the opportunity to continue your studies within the Department of Engineering and Architecture through the PhD programme in Information Technology.
