The University of Parma has you all you need as a student: from the formative value of frontal theoretical lectures to the opportunity to do professional work placements in various areas, both inside and outside the University Hospital, allowing you to acquire essential basic skills that will enable you to meet the demands of the workplace at the end of the course.

You will also attend courses of your choice on various specific topics in biomedical laboratory science, or deal with subjects of interest to you. You will also be able to gain experience in one of the European locations included in the Erasmus and Over world student mobility programmes.

The high-quality theoretical and practical training of the three-year degree course in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques and the passing of the qualifying examination will allow you to enter the workplace, both in the health care sector and in public and private facilities where laboratory work is carried out in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and research fields.

You will also have the opportunity to access further training programmes of your choice, i.e. a Master's degree in the Science of Health Professions (degree class SNT3), in Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, a Master's degree in Applied Laboratory Diagnostics Technology, or access to various specialised first-level master's degrees for the acquisition of further specific professional skills in various fields.

The professional with a degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques is in great demand on the job market today, both in the public and private sectors.
