Learning objectives

- Develop technical knowledge of the main diagnostic methods.
- Acquire basic radiological semiotics for traditional radiology, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound in major pathologies.
- Apply semiotics and the principles of appropriateness of imaging tools, nuclear medicine, and radiotherapy in clinical and surgical practice.
- Accurately read and understand a radiological report.

Practical activities in small student groups.

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment of the achievement of the course objectives includes:
1. A written exam at the end of some lectures.
Through questions regarding the course content, it will be determined if the student has achieved the objective of knowledge and understanding of the lectures. The average score will be weighted with that of the final exam (described below).
2. A final oral exam based on clinical cases, aimed at verifying if the student has achieved the objective of applying the acquired knowledge.
