Learning objectives

The objective of the course is to train learners on the basic concepts relating to 3D bioprinting in the clinical and medical field, with a particular focus on useful approaches to tissue regeneration and the restoration/maintenance of biological and functional processes. Particular attention will be paid to strengthening coding and collaboration skills, through the development of group activities.

Course unit content

The course will address issues related to 3D bioprinting such as: technologies, materials, applications.
The most suitable ones for the different medical areas and the related purposes (treatment, regeneration, rehabilitation), the related added value, the risks and the related costs will be described.
Practical exercises and interactive activities will also be proposed, which include technologies such as Virtual Reality, showing in detail the complexity of the human structure and the software useful for reducing errors.
