Integrated course unit module: WORKSHOP PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Learning objectives

• Understanding the meaning of impact applied to financial activities.
• Ability to recognise and use sustainability and impact indicators.

There are no prerequisites.

Course unit content

The workshop focuses on a few topics regarding the relationship between companies and their stakeholders. The first topic (Module 1) refers to economic activities' impact on stakeholders, focusing on sustainability applied to finance and issues in impact measurement. This part refers to how different stakeholders’ needs can be considered when a financial product or activity is being planned.
The second topic (Module 2) refers to communication and negotiation (see Module 2 syllabus).

Teaching methods

Lectures, case studies, and in-class group work.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students will be evaluated continuously based on their participation in class discussions and the fulfilment of the assigned tasks. A short written final exam is based on the content of all the slides, class discussions and compulsory readings and videos.
